What it is

LeanBiome is the Lean for Good weight-management capsule, distinct from unrelated ingredients with the same name. The vendor uses a gut-microbiome explanation and highlights probiotics and a tea extract. Match the current label to the exact version offered before buying.

Vendor-listed ingredients

The vendor highlights Lactobacillus gasseri, L. rhamnosus, L. fermentum and a green tea extract called Greenselect Phytosome. Its offer also discusses inulin, Sphaeranthus indicus and Garcinia mangostana. Compare the current package with the sales page for all strain IDs, colony-forming units (CFU), extract amounts, serving sizes and other ingredients. Garcinia mangostana and Garcinia cambogia are different plants.

What the evidence says

The specific strain matters

A trial studied L. gasseri SBT2055 in fermented milk. The dose, strain, food matrix and participants are all part of that finding. A capsule listing L. gasseri without the same strain identifier, dose and context cannot inherit the result.

Green tea extract

The seller cites research using its named extract with a calorie-controlled diet. A trial of extract plus diet does not show whether this capsule provides a comparable exposure or has an additional meaningful effect. NIH ODS concludes any average effect of green tea on weight is small.

Inulin and multi-ingredient formulas

Inulin is a fermentable fiber that can cause gas or bloating in some people. Research on a plant extract or a prebiotic alone does not establish that combining it with multiple live strains makes the finished capsule effective for weight management.

We reviewed the vendor material and published ingredient evidence. We did not test the product ourselves. The sources below explain the evidence and its limits.

Who may find this useful and who should ask a doctor first

This review may help someone compare probiotic labels, especially if they want to know which details a useful label would show. A weight-management claim alone is a weak reason to choose a probiotic.

Ask a clinician before taking probiotics if you are seriously ill or immunocompromised. Review green tea extract use if you have liver disease. If fermentable fibers tend to trigger symptoms, check the inulin amount and discuss your options rather than assuming a gut-focused supplement will help.

Frequently asked questions

Do more strains mean better weight results?

No clear relationship has been established. Human evidence for a specific strain and outcome is more useful than a high strain count.

How should I compare CFU?

Compare the amount per serving, strain IDs and whether the count applies at manufacture or through expiry.

Is LeanBiome the same as other products with this name?

This review refers to Lean for Good's capsule. The similarly named OptiBiotix ingredient is a separate product.
