What it is

BellyFlush is a Simple Promise digestive cleanse. Its sales page lists botanicals used as stimulant laxatives. A bowel movement can temporarily change scale weight through stool or fluid loss. This is not an approach to body-fat reduction.

Vendor-listed ingredients

The seller names cascara sagrada bark, cape aloe leaf, senna leaf extract, triphala fruit, fennel seed, bentonite clay, marshmallow root, licorice root extract, slippery elm bark, cayenne pepper fruit and milk thistle seed. The sales page we checked did not provide individual amounts. Ask for the current Supplement Facts panel and have a pharmacist review it before use.

What the evidence says

Stimulant laxatives and the scale

Senna is a stimulant laxative used for constipation. A scale change after laxatives can reflect bowel contents or fluid loss. It does not establish fat loss. The NHS advises against prolonged self-directed senna use, and stimulant ingredients may cause cramping or diarrhea.

Cleanses and digestive claims

NCCIH finds little high-quality support for detox or cleanse claims and highlights diarrhea and dehydration risks. Evidence about an individual botanical for a specific symptom does not establish either safety or benefit when several laxative ingredients are combined.

Other named ingredients

Licorice containing glycyrrhizin can affect blood pressure and potassium and may interact with medicines. The vendor's description does not establish whether this extract contains glycyrrhizin or in what amount. Milk thistle research does not establish that this finished product supports weight loss or treats a liver condition.

We reviewed the vendor material and published ingredient evidence. We did not test the product ourselves. The sources below explain the evidence and its limits.

Who may find this useful and who should ask a doctor first

This is a label review for readers researching a cleanse. It is not a weight-loss option. If constipation is the reason you are shopping, a pharmacist or clinician can review causes and help choose an appropriate option.

Speak with a clinician first if you have persistent constipation, abdominal pain, bowel disease, kidney or heart disease, or take medication that affects electrolytes. Do not self-treat severe pain, vomiting or blood in the stool with a cleanse. Ask before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding and avoid combining with other laxative products without guidance.
