Ready to walk down the aisle? Found the dress, the right man, did all the planning and arrangements are done? Need to do just one more thing and take the extra pounds off so you can look your absolute best, sleek, sexy, ravishing self on your special day? Here are a few pointers on how to lose weight for a wedding – they certainly helped me take off those extra pounds before my big day.
Be realistic about your weight loss goals
When you get married, people are looking at you, the outside you, and the inside you. Your guests will likely be people that you have some type of relationship with and that are there are to celebrate this wonderful moment. They know that you are not rail thin. Many may have watched you through the years. Going from a size 20 to a size 2 would not only be shocking for them, it could also take away from the importance of the day. Set a weight loss goal that will make you feel good about yourself regardless of whether everyone notices. You will know and your spouse-to-be will absolutely know.
Don’t rush to lose it overnight
Healthy weight loss is not a one-day or one-week thing. It is something that should be done gradually, over an extended period of time. So, plan your weight loss accordingly. Expect to lose between 1-2 pounds per week for healthy, long-term weight loss. Join a weight loss support group if you feel that you need that added help and direction.
Turn your bridal weight loss plan into a group effort.
You may be the central figure in all this but you do have others participating. Get members of your wedding party involved, draw on there strength and encouragement. Hold you own meetings, have a spa weight loss day, or a wedding couture event, award prizes and most importantly enjoy this time. Its one of the best most important days of your life!
