Calorie Counting to Lose Weight - How to Work Out How Many Calories You Need

There are lots of programs advocating calorie counting to lose weight - some even have point systems with their own brand foods. Although I don’t agree with counting calories for weight loss, I think it can be a useful exercise to begin with and while you get used to listening to your body in determinng whether you are truly hungry or just craving.

You see it all the time at restaurants, ballgames, work, etc. Overweight people order the diet sodas and the skinny folks go right for the sugar-filled regular stuff. What’s wrong with this picture?
