Herbal body wraps are great for cleansing your body of toxins. They are also great for inch reduction, tightening and toning the skin, and ridding your body of excess water weight.
You can make your own herbal body wraps at home with natural sea salt and clay. You can also add a nice aromatherapy touch to them by adding essential oils like lavender, rosemary, olive oil, or other oils of your choice. Try This Simple Herbal Body Wrap Recipe
1-cup green clay 1/4 cup sea salt 2 tbsp. of your favorite essential oil 2 cups water
Make sure to take your measurements before you do the herbal wrap. When you are finished, take your measurements again a couple hours later to keep track of your results. Before applying, the herbal wrap be sure to take a warm shower to get your skin ready for the wrap. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water for a few hours before you start.
Preparation: mix together the water and sea salt and boil until the salt has dissolved. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water at a time until you have a thin paste.
Rub a paste all over your body and cover yourself with wrapping sheets. Make sure to wrap every part of your body that has the paste on. Next, lay in the bathtub for 30 to 60 minutes.
In order to make it even more enjoyable, you may enjoy having some aromatherapy candles and play some soothing music while you are relaxing. When you are finished unwrap the sheets from your body and take a warm shower to rinse it off.
Make sure that you avoid fried foods, caffeine, sugar, carbonated drinks and alcohol for 48 hour before and for the next 48 hours after you to an herbal wrap. Enjoy!
