I have spent most of my adult life jumping from one diet to another, all to no avail, I simply found that no matter how hard I tried, I could never lose anywhere near the amount of weight I needed to make any significant difference to my size, appearance and fitness. This created a vicious circle situation, where by I would practically starve myself in a desperate bid to get the results I craved, but then, because I couldn’t achieve what I desired, my other cravings kicked in, and as a consequence, I pigged out on all the favorite stodgy carbohydrates and unhealthy fats, because I reached depression stage.
Let me tell you that all that has changed for ever now, since I have put myself on the Every Other Day Diet (EODD), and that is because this revolutionary and scientific approach is not really a diet at all, it is actually a nutrition plan. Now that didn’t make sense to me when I first heard it either, but fundamentally no diet will ever succeed, because you’ll always be prone to return to your bad habits, where as a nutrition plan completely changes the way you look at your eating habits and it becomes a new lifestyle that I certainly don’t envisage ever changing for me anyway.
In the EODD, reference was given to cavemen and I must admit I wondered where on earth it was heading, but it all added up to a startling concept that made sense, and once I started it showed almost instant results. Basically what the EODD directed me to do was carry on eating what I enjoyed, but never the same thing every day, or the same number of calories every day, which was where the caveman reference came in, as they were unable to do that and apparently there were never any fat people around in those times although I’m not sure how it is proved!
Nevertheless, simply by varying the food sources and therefore at the same time varying the calorie intake, my body and brain was retrained to increase my metabolism and as it was explained to me, I adapted to be able to turn my body fat into my body fuel. This really is the easiest plan ever as the ability to discipline yourself couldn’t be simpler; you carry on eating your pizzas and burgers, just formulate a strategy which allows you to spread the calories through the week.
The EODD has been fabulous for me, I can’t speak highly enough of it; as it points out, fat isn’t our fault, but it is our responsibility, and with their exceptional guidance, I was able to reach my goals and believe me if I can do it, anybody can.
